Huukan Golf Club

Huukan Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Fort Mohave, Arizona, that features 6,569 yards of golf from the longest tees, for a par of 72 . The course rating is 70.5 and it has a slope rating of 119. Designed by Robert L. Baldock and Bob E. Baldock, the course opened in 1989 and is just now going through a change of ownership – and a change of attitude!

This course is a joy to play for golfers of all skill levels. Its medium length offers the average golfer a challenge without becoming a frustrating experience. As the old course name – Desert Lakes – indicates, you should be prepared for water hazards (along with well-place bunkers) that offer not only a more challenging round, but add to the beauty of this course with its mountain backdrop.

Huukan Golf Club is the only area course with tree-lined fairways, which help block the ever-present desert wind. Narrow fairways and small greens will test, but not frustrate, your golf skills and abilities. Use the warm up area, chipping and putting green, and practice sand bunker to get ready for your round. And no visit to Huukan would be complete without a trip to our Golf Shop, featuring the latest in men’s and ladies’ golf apparel and clubs. Lessons are available from PGA golf professional at our sister course, Mojave Resort Golf Club.

Our friendly staff will take great care of you after your round in our 1,100 square-foot club house, with indoor and outdoor seating and a covered patio – a friendly respite from the desert heat. Coming from out of town? Leave your clubs at home. We have plenty of sets of clubs available for you to rent. Please mention the need of rental clubs when making your reservation.

Huukan Golf Club suffered extensive damage in a storm that went through our area on May 6. The choice to close the course earlier than normal was made to make sure the damage was repaired correctly and uninterrupted. Huukan maintenance staff has worked diligently to get the course back to better than before. Therefore, Huukan Golf Club will remain closed until the over seeding procedure is completed approximately October 1st.
